Allison Davis O’Keefe is a photojournalist in New York City. She will graduate from the International Center of Photography's Documentary photography and photojournalism program in June of 2010.
Allison spent eight years with CBS News in New York and Washington, DC. She has covered the U.S. Congress, 2006 midterm elections, 2004 & 2008 presidential campaigns, and several breaking news events including the tragedy at Virginia Tech and the September 11th attacks, for which she won a group Emmy award. Allison's photographs have appeared on the CBS Evening News and CBS News.com.
Like many photographers, Allison's obsession with the camera started when her father gave her his old Canon FTb camera. Sharing the passion for the still image, Allison and her father travel together often. In January 2010 they can be found in Antarctica.
Allison graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a B.A. in Environment, Economics, and Politics.
